The chimney quality is not up to the mark and the elica service is very bad. I am calling them for installation from last 10 days and they are fixing the installation date every day but actually nobody is coming to install the chimney.I request you all to do not buy Elica. Service and quality both are not good.

Update: There was a fire in my kitchen due to this chimney. We were cooking pooris on high oil flame and while we were using it, chimney picked up the flames and before we knew anything, everything in chimney was burned as fire engulfed the chimney and reached internal parts. Chimney glass broke right in front of me while I was dousing the fire and My kitchen turned black. Thankfully no injury to any to any of us but this was indeed a dangerous incident. I had used it barely for 2 months. Most probable reason could be oil collected in chimney but elica is refusing that. They are saying this cannot be a reasonWhat is most dissatisfying is the response by customer team. They are putting everything on customer and not accepting there could be any fault in the product. Field engineer who visited told me there could be oil in the chimney that may be attracted the fire. But the instructions i got from the installation engineer was we shouldn’t use auto clean before one year. Quite contradictory !I understand elica doesn’t want to pay and instead now offering me discount of 10,000 rs (they say MRP is 20,000, this is funny indeed) which surprisingly is the same amount for which i bought it from Amazon.All in all – I am writing this so people know these type of incidents do happen. Ultimately it is not the money but the lives of family members. We thank god that nobody was harmed during that incident but guys please do consider some safety features while buying any of kitchen related products. This is a lesson for meOverall a nice product. First things first, noise will be there given suction capacity. But in my case, it is less than the existing exhaust fan so I am kinda okay. Noise is not irritating. I will add a video too so people can check if they are comfortable with the noiseI bought this product because smoke was tarnishing the white color of modular kitchen. It’s effectiveness can only be measured once you have used it for few months.It comes with an installation kit. My kitchen already had an arrangement so I didn’t have to use the aluminium pipe ( I used 1/3rd of it). I think power cable could have been a bit longer. I had to cut it, add a piece of cable and then taped it. Not a great deal of problem but it looks a bit odd with tape clearly visibleAnd Motion sensor thing is a bit too marketed. Really don’t see great need of it.

Firstly I am going to proceed legally on this issue on Amazon and Elica. Bought this product in amazon and got the delivery on 24th Jan 2021. Till now I didn’t opened my package waiting for the installation person to do the installation. Till Feb 10th installation person said they will come to the installation. But 12th feb received a call from them and they said complain to elica we are not coming for installation because of the location is far from them…. then y amazon accepted the order and delivered the order and y you called us and said u will come for installation.Really pathetic don’t fall in the trap its the worst experience with elica and amazon.NO ONE IS RESPONDING NOW… Think 10000 times before buying ELICA product.BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.Product may be good but if service is not available who cares.@amazon and @elica lets deal this in legal way in consumer court.
