This laptop like many other Dell laptops (including the XPS models) has COIL WHINE issue. Coil whine is a buzzing electrical sound only audible when bring the laptop close to your ear. In this laptop it’s audible in the top left corner.I ordered a replacement and the replaced laptop has the same issue out of the box.Coil whine can be reduced if you tinker with the graphics driver settings (or even uninstalling or upgrading/downgrading as that has shown to solve this issue) but sadly these fixes don’t seem to work for my laptop.Coil whines are not dangerous/it won’t damage anything. It’s just annoying when you are sensitive to it.Other than this, this is a good laptop.

I was quite nervous to buy this laptop considering someone mentioned regarding Coil Noises. But I took the risk coz I literally couldn’t find any laptop with this specs at this price range.I basically bought this laptop for Coding/Media and multitasking and to be honest , it works perfectly.Pros:1) Low Noise after upgrading drivers2) Multitasking/Coding No issues3) Display is really Good4) Can Play Basic to Midrange Games5) Elegant design6) Mcafee for 15 months / Windows 10 and MS 365 lifetime7) Can upgrade your RAM upto 32 GB if needed8)Quality looks top notch9) Charging 80 percent of the battery in 30 mins is something I really neededCons:1) Tends to Heat up if you are running applications that require high processes2) Battery life is about Average3) Keyboard is too soft. Some may like it and some may not. I don’t
