Saregama Carvaan 2.0 Portable Music Player 5000 Pre-Loaded Songs  with Podcast, FM/BT/AUX (Classic Black)

I got the product replaced once which arrived in a defective condition because the battery wouldn’t work for more than 30-40mins and then the replacement I’ve received now has a problem with its FM player (doesn’t scan networks at all). Durability is a serious issue with this product. The song collection si great but the product itself isn’t worth the hype.

Good concept but terrible quality of parts used. Battery doesnt charge to full even after 10 hours of overnight charging (tried a few times). Remote control uses flimsy pieces of plastic – top 3 buttons dont work – battery stays loose in the slot provided and needed a piece of paper to stay put. Very disappointed with the product.

I purchased it as gifts for mother…..that something she cud enjoy for once…….just after 3 months of purchase volume control stopped working……and now….saregama mode stopped working……can’t even load 1 of 5000 songs now……I need replacement as soon as possible……..

Very poor build quality. Stopped working after 2 months.Called carvaan service center – They are saying since two days that their servers are down and hence can not take complaints. This guy by the name Manoj Pujari told me that he will register the complaint as soon as the servers are up but he just did not care to do so – despite me calling them thrice yesterday to take a status update of the servers. I have called them just now again for the third day straight and now they are saying that there is only mail in service available in entire Delhi-NCR and no Technician visit is available in the entire Delhi-NCR. Also, they told me that the repair will take around 7-10 working days.Guys, I would suggest don’t buy carvaan. It’s a really pathetic experience so far. If a company cannot give good service for such a premium product and that too in delhi-ncr then it’s of no use.

This is one of the best product in the markets in this price segment…it has 351 retro songs which is best songs in oldera.along with this speaker charged fully with in 30 to 40 min.FM was also get good signal in close rooms.Bluetooth connect very easily with mobile.pen drive is auto corrected.and sound quality i can tell you best in your entare floor u stay.i love this product.

First of all when I opened my parcel it was already torn. Then I opened it. I have ordered regal blue and in box also written regal blue but inside it was blue color. When i started to play power is not getting on.I am really upset with this product because I wanted to give it to my dad.I have requested for replacement so let’s see how the next product is coming?

Build quality and finish is very good and it is still light weight. Sound quality is above average – suits for the music it holds. It is very easy to operate. The provision of FM, blue-tooth and USB inputs gives good expandability.The collection of songs is above average. Since HMV to RPG, they’ve the best repository of bollywood music but they do not have good understanding of making nice collections of songs. Their lack of this skill helped Gulshan Kumar made T-Series a grand success. Since the age of cassettes to this beautiful piece of digital music player, I’ve always found some baggage in their choice of collection. Sometimes it feels they push their choice than what listeners want. Sometimes, it looks they want to push some songs just because they’ve paid for rights of the whole set.The Set went blank once and they promptly replaced after call to customer care and some basic diagnosis over phone. This was during warranty period. I got it from Amazon as no store was even aware that such a product has been launched. Now a days, I see a lot of Carvaan boxes on so many stores. Selling network is good now, and I hope service network is as good after warranty is over.Overall a very good product – this is the (almost) best thing they could have done with the golden collection they’ve. This is a perfect all in one portable device with a good collection for senior generation. I still find Amazon Prime Music collection a good add-on for so many rare songs that I did not find in many other repositories. With Prime Music and Carvaan, I’ve got the best of both worlds.Edit: In this old review, one of the first things I mentioned is that the sound is above average and suits the music it HOLDS. You buy this for pre-stored bollywood OLDIES. Saw a lot many reviews complaining about sound. If anybody buys this as bluetooth or aux speaker, it’s a wrong choice. You can get much better speakers under this price. Even an F&D at half this price will give you better bass. Know what you want before reading what they sell… any product.I bought this as a package. Also saw a lot of reviews about bad product. Either build quality has drastically degraded (shouldn’t be the case, I guess, as half a dozen people I know did not face any such issue, except me and I mentioned that replacement experience) – or retailers might be spamming Amazon, but then most of these are verified purchasers! So think twice before you make choice. I bought this product for my parents as a gift so that they can enjoy the song collection, but unfortunately the device has a very low sound output which makes it very hard for you to listen to these songs – I requested for a refund or exchange with the original Carvaan but they refused.They have also not mentioned the sound output watts in the product description for the same reason and it does not connect with all the Bluetooth speakers.Do not buy ..

Sound quality may not be at par what similar priced portable systems provide.This product revived childhood memories.

Received product without remote after starting sound is not coming…very bad experice

If App is able to connect through Bluetooth anytime, then it should provide a player interface to play local device songs also (w/o Bluetooth mode)3. Very nice device and far better than earlier edition of Caarvan go.Sound quality is fine than expected in this Caarvan go 2.0.Built quality also improved a lot.I satisfied fully that’s why I am writing this review. I am a regular buyer in Amazon and I never wrote any review so far. I can assure that the audiophile certainly enjoy the quality of sound output with the hi-fi headphones.

Recommended for music lover. Built quality is nice.sound quality would be improve .ear phone attached with the device is worst and received in damaged condition. Most worst thing is that,its bluetooth connectivity. BT connectivity is disappointing.

Pros: small and handy. Overall the idea of portable music player works.Major Cons:1. Sound quality is below average. Lots of distortion in all frequency ranges for the songs played via SD card (No, the problem is not in the quality of mp3 file/audio source. The source plays perfectly fine when played using laptop audio). Not talking about loudness either, which is just reasonably ok. But it’s also that one might sometimes wish that the volume should be good enough to hear the songs played from another room. Like passive listening to music. That brings another order of pleasure and peace of mind in effortless listening. The gadget is barely audible when heard from another room.2. The rotary dial for selecting artists/song category is clumsy (difficult to use, slippery, doesn’t allow for good grip, sometimes doesn’t move when more pressure is applied on the dial, sometimes it moves too fast skipping selections).3) The device is manufactured apparently in Sep. 2019. So, I was sent a product which ought to be version 2.0 but more than a year old! To make it worse, combine this with only 6 months of warranty period. I expected a 2020 manufactured model instead.Improvement needed/suggested:1) Better user interface – such as flat rotary dial for artist/category selection. This could better be a knob to have a better grip for selection. Else, like retro style radio receivers, the selection knob could be placed on either side of the width of the gadget to dial into a category/artist/genre of user’s choice. This interface should be more handy and comfortable/user friendly for older people/senior citizens.2) Speaker/Sound quality – It’s all about music that should sound good to ears. The melody should not sound harsh and annoying due to bad quality speakers. This is the department where quality shouldn’t be compromised just to keep the price tag low. Use better speakers with low distortion. Since this is a music player, this is the utmost important area where improvements should be focused! (rather than trying to enhance features like wifi support and streaming and music on demand and what not. Going that route would make it more like a smartphone device and then why not people rather buy a smartphone to listen to music than this mp3 player (?) if ‘keeping the design simple’ idea is compromised to make it smarter and more feature rich. Older people don’t need too smart devices just to listen to music. We already have smartphones for that, which are difficult and confusing because of too many smart options).3) Battery backup – should support at least 15 – 20 hours of battery to avoid frequent need for recharge. This would be a key differentiator and will add lots of value to it. Perhaps, if possible, improve the hardware (chipset) & software to consume less power. Remember, this ought to be a portable music player by design, so the hassle of recharging it frequently should be avoided. Again, keeping in mind ease of use and handiness for older people.4) While it’s called version 2.0, I see that the device has it nowhere written explicitly, nor on the packaging box that it is version 2.0. You have to check the specs, like length and weight of the device (2.0 is slightly longer and heavier than 1.0) to confirm that it is which model (older or newer). Also, the item (v2.0) model no. is given as ‘SCG110’. This appears to be the same as the earlier version of the model which confused me to distinguish between older and newer version.
