Average product Don’t Expect more than that. sound clarity became poor while increasing volume more than 60%. Actually it shows 140W but get an effect of 90W.. moreover no HDMI /Optical input.

Built Quality is topnotch. Sound is very good. Bass is nice. FM works flawlessly. 1 star less due to the amount of storage this device has; for the price, they should provide atleast 8GB storage like the similar Transcend media players.Update (29 Jul 18)I underestimated this device’s Bass output. I am writing this feedback after 4 month of usage. My Walkman MP3 player is dead just using within 4 month. I go to Sony authorized service center they told me that the seller is not authorized and we cannot provide you the warranty. We still receive the product as ‘Out Of Warranty’ and request Sony for replacement and if your request has been accepted then only you will get replacement. I just want to write it for other customers who wish to buy it. Just make sure the seller is authorized Sony dealer otherwise you wont get warranty.

Using it for 2 weeks, really good. I see some distortion noise sometimes, I doubted the speakers but looks like its coming from source itself.The reason I got the refurbished is to be sure that its tested and rectified on the issue if any. It would be good what is replaced/repaired so that we can be more sure that the problem is rectified.Overall I’m happy with this product.

Not worthy to buy this as the Z9F atmos isn’t good which is fake..LG SK10Y is far better compared to Sony’s Z9F..I bought Nakimichi shockwafe pro 7.1 (2018 with fw upgrade)which is of Rs.73k(including shipping & customs)… Atmos was mind blowing..Instead of spending 70k for 5.1 with fake atmos, you can go for this…I was astonished by Nakimichi’s performance..You can try if you want spend 70,k. Sony always launch their product in India late as the left off in the other countries will be sold in India(z9F was launched in Jan 2018 in US,but launched in India only in July 2019)

Bought this item at an introductory launch INR 60k where surround speakers were thrown in for free… Hoping the system is a capable home theater that auguments large TV experience. Update: reduced a star rating as the system takes time to switch from hdmi arc to external hdmi signal and repeatedly goes to hdmi screen selection which really gets on the nerve to scramble for soundbar remote. Should be capable of detecting the hdmi automatically and switch with minimum lag. And reduced one more star because the atmos is just not so effective. True that for price point this is how much we get but instead of virtual atmos the sound bar could have been integrated with up firing drivers for reasonable hike in price. Now returning to reduce 2 more star as sony customer care solution for HDMI switching lag never worked fully making my purchase a waste. So now setting up a sound system based on AVR and speakers to experience full atmos. Summary : this model is just good for appearance but performance or experience is lacking in a huge way.

To be honest…. I am simply amazed, rather I would say I am completely zapped by the fact that a Company like Sony has done it again… Yes another product which is ZERO value for money. I mean what does it take for such a major brand like SONY to hire some good professional and smart Sound Bar designers who have a higher level of intellectual and professionalism to come up with a Home theatre or soundbar thats actually a great product and not fool and cheat customers with poorly designed junk with features which hardly have any regular use. Let’s start with the newly launched product in India the 3.1 channel Sony Soundbar HT-Z9F which is packed with features like DOLBY ATMOS, DTS:X, VERTICAL Surround, WiFi, 4K HDR, Hi-RES Audio, BLUETOOTH, NFC and HDCP2.2…. Now somehow Sony engineers intentionally or unintentionally forgot a small tiny winy thing… That a good Dolby Atmos sound bar needs to have a good powerful amplifier to produce good sound with depth and quality otherwise it’s just same as another cheap gimmiky soundbars. So what do the Sony engineers do they put in a puny 400 watt amplifier which sounds like a 20 Dollar cheap soundbar with a woofer. Also I challenge Sony Engineers to please explain how their VERTICAL Surround Engine technology works on this unit without having a single up firing driver or speaker in the entire system. After listening to this Sony soundbar I seriously doubt anybody with minimal knowledge of sound quality would dare waste his or her hard earned money on this junk. I understand the reason this soundbar has such a low output of a meagre 400 watts at a price point of INR 60,000. Now the “REASON” for the low output – All units including the Soundbar, Subwoofer and rear speakers are wireless and each unit needs to have its own “Independent Amplifier” to drive the speakers & woofer. So it is not possible to place a big size single high power amplifier inside the sound bar cabinet or the Surround rear speakers since the sound from all sources needs to be in equal power. Hence Sony engineers decided to lower the sound output from all individual pieces and place ridiculously low power amplifiers in each individual component. This by the way also helps in cost cutting for Sony. I am surprised at a price point 60k nobody noticed or complained about the fact that the entire system does not have a single tweeter or mid range speaker for HD Quality sound. This speaks volumes about low product quality and value for money. Finally this product is an absolute disappointment for a lot of Sony fans so a big thumbs down to Sony for this super low quality product. If I was a Sony engineer I would pick all the features of the HT Z9F and put them on the model Sony HT S700RF which comes at almost half the price and has a Sound output of a whopping 1000 watts with a 20 Inch subwoofer. The combination can be an absolute killer to knock off all competition including Nakamichi. Even if the end product is a semi wired or fully wired product consumers will still love it at any price point.

Got it at a great price. This device is worth every penny. However, i must say that the analog input gives very poor output. Bluetooth works fine. If sony engineers had put in an HDMI input option alongside the ARC, it would have been even better! The subwoofer is not overpowering. The surround speakers are crisp and clear. The remote and device settings are userfriendly. True value for money. Thank you Amazon.

Sound quality very comfortable

I wanted to buy HT-RT3 but since i saw this model at lower price i bought this.It is new model launched by sony on FEB 7 2020, the only 5.1 model with soundbar and BT, HDMI ARC, optical cable support below 15K i guess.All comes in one L shaped Box.Bar have holes, you can Mount to wall. (No setup is provided in box for wall mounting)Pros: It has HDMI ARC support, optical cable support, BT, okay for beginner version of home theatre.Sound quality is fine.Okay with Bass(actually it did not meet my expectations)HDMI cable not provided. Buy it seperately.I have used it for 1 day and okay with the performance at this price (Not too much excited with performance yet). Better performance cab be seen once i place soundbar above ground/wallmount. I will upload more Information after 1week of usage.

Sound is as expected. It has all the necessary options like STANDARD,CINEMA,MUSIC & VOICE.What i did noticed is that at Low Volume level like below 10 it does not give you any sound, you can not even hear if music is playing or not which was not expected.i have ordered an replacement.Hope for positive results.

I have been using this hometheatre system for last 10 days with all different kind of setups – Movie, music, gamingSo I believe am ready to give a review from a regular user usage feedback .Firts things firstI got the product from the seller- Appario retail and they have given me an already opened + used product and I was really shocked to see that.I was thinking whether to return it on the same day but thought of using it for once to see if it has any defects.but surprisingly the speaker was all fine, dint fine any issues or something. so decided to keep the product anyway , so a bid thumb’s down for the seller Appario retailers.now coming back to the speaker performanceI don’t knw why many reviews says that the Bass is not good, for me the bass is just perfect, I only set the bass level to 6 or to 8 max(out of 12) and the bass just pumps in perfectly and shakes my room pretty good.I have been using it with PS4,LAPTOP,Tv, and Mobile and every ports does work but only the HDMI and Optical outputs 5.1 with ofcourse 5.1 content.But worst+sad+bad thing with the setup is the sound bar channel seperation. i would say its 0 out of 5, yes the sound clarity is just sony level but u can’t get or feel the front left+center+front right channel seperation from the sound bar, you can only feel the seperation if u sit just infront of the sound bar and within 1 meter distance, if you sit far than this u will just feel it like a 3.1 system ( 1 left rear + 1 right rear+ 1 front speaker) so u really won’t get the Dolby theatre like feeling from this speakers even though they are marketed as a 5.1 I would suggest to go for Individual 5.1 speaker setup rather than the sound var setup if u r really a guy like me who give importance to the surrounding effect.so this is my verdict,if u just want a really good speaker system for music+regular media watching this speakers are fine, but if u mainly get this for the home theatre 5.1 experience dont go for it, go for a system which has either separate channel speakers or a better soundbar which can may be give much more channel seperationthnx

Brilliant is the word. It’s surprising to see how a simple plug and play setup like this can provide such a room filling sound. With proper content, I am sure you will be looking around to see if there are more speakers. Dolby Atmos support, don’t expect the sound to come from on top of you or behind you. However, the sound from the soundbar is loud, clear and has a wide soundstage when consuming content sitting in the sweetspot. With Immersive AE turned on, you do get clearler audio especially the separation between the dialogues and background score.I use it with my Apple TV 4K as input. It detects Dolby atmos, DTS whenever its available and without an issue. 4K Dolby Vision/HDR gets passed through to the TV without any loss.Its been around 20 days that I am using it and am pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this to one who wants to avoid the hassle of placing the surround speakers and laying the wires but wishes to have good surround home theater experience.The only thing it lacks is any form of internet connectivity or app controls which I feel isn’t necessary and can live without it.If you have the budget, go for it!!

I bought this soundbar with greater expectation. But it absolutely disappoint me. We can hear voice after increase the volume to 60 level. I mainly bought this for clear voice but it fails even though it has voice mode. My another disappoint is the soundbar can’t give any surround effect. Even we can’t hear left and right channel variation clearly. It has immersive, cinema, music and auto mode but I can’t see much difference sound for these option.I come to the conclusion that those who are want real home theatre surround effect don’t buy any kind of soundbar.

I have no words to say how grateful I am to Appario seller for sending like new home theater system.Just a minute damage on the top of woofer which is not even visible but it doesn’t affect any productivity or performance of the product.Packing was like brand new piece with most of the parts still lying inside the plastic in unused condition.No accessories was missing as read in many previous reviews so a big thumbs up to the seller.Remote, HDMI cable and even battery came was unused along with the warranty card which is valid upto oct 2021.Audio quality is mind blowing. Really powerful bass and has multiple connectivity option.I am using optical cable to watch 5.1ch movies through my Android TV box and Bluetooth to listen songs through my iPhone.

I’m writing this review after testing the soundbar for a week and then eventually returning it because I found the performance unsatisfactory.Before purchasing this, I have tried Samsung Q800T (Atmos) soundbar and Sony ST5000 (Which costs over a lakh) soundbar.Pros:- Easy to use the remote control- Plain design blends well with the interior- Easy to connectCons:- Build quality is strictly average, MDF in sub-woofer is exposed without any kind of paint- Sub-bass is missing, in simpler terms you won’t feel the proper low-end thump- Highs are mediocre- Atmos effect is only evident in the demo sample that is stored in the soundbar- No Wi-Fi at this price!Buy this only if you are a Sony fan, better buy Samsung’s Q800T which costs the same and offers brilliant sound quality along with Wi-Fi connectivity and proper up-firing channels.

The dialogues are very unclear and sound like somebody is talking loudly with a strangulated throat. The music quality is ok as compared to other soundbars which i have heard.Another major problem is that the wireless surround speakers suddenly start make a very loud crackling sound and i have to turn that off (sorted out by service engineer by putting the main unit far from wifi). HDMI sound output from tv is not working so I am using optical cable for sound from TV.Never expected such a system from Sony and I purchased it on the first day of its launch just because it was a Sony product

Bought this with high hopes on Sony but completely disappointed.It had great sound for first 2 weeks.Then started hearing crackling sound from rear speakers.Now in just 20+ days, sub woofer stopped working.Sent the unit for repair last week and waiting…

The speaker sound is too low. I am not sure why people do a wattage rating when cannot produce sufficient sound. The stereo mode performance is satisfactory. But it still lag a valid sound output. It doesn’t have options to set TREBLE and BASS. The SW volume is also not so suitable for cinematic view. I get it checked by Sony engineers too but they are not able to configure it well. I have kept the surround speakers so close to my ears but it was not able to produce any balanced surround.I have checked with UHD 5.1 content from Netflix, Amazon as well as USB drive but it cannot cater a room length of 10×10. This speaker is the worst speaker I have seen in my lifetime promising a 5.1 experience.A Big NO in this price range.
